HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR TABLE
1) Choose your table top size from the drop down menu. Keep in mind that the width measurement refers to the overall width of the board measured across the underside. With these natural, tapered edge boards, the usable top surface width is generally 1" -2" less.

Custom lengths or heights are available. Order the next size up and indicate your specific custom length during checkout in the "add note" section at the shopping cart stage.

2)  The finish options can be seen in in the second and third listing photos. Let us know your finish choice in the "add note" section at the shopping cart stage.

3) We offer three standard heights in the drop down menu but most any height up to 40" is available. Just make a note of your custom height in the "add note" section at the shopping cart stage.

HISTORY OF OUR WOOD
This lumber is trimmed from massive hand-hewn beams salvaged from pioneer barns and cabins in Wisconsin and Iowa. Amish crews disassemble the barns and salvage as much as they can. We have the resaw the most interesting parts for our tables. Most of these barns were in use for over 100 years before being obsolesced by modern farming practices. They saw farming change from horse power to diesel power. As the culture changed so too do the buildings that support it. This wood was cut from old growth trees in the 19th century by hand saw and ax then shaped by hand with adzes and muscles. I try to present as much of that old effort as I can. The wood in these boards must be as old as this country. We have counted over 150 old growth rings on some pieces.

We have smoothed and flattened the top surface so you can set glasses on it. Each piece IS DIFFERENT and has its own story and history. Like all reclaimed, upcycled, repurposed and recycled products there are flaws and nicks, axe marks and knotholes. It's not from the Big Blue Box store

Each piece is handcrafted and made sustainably with reclaimed wood from barns across the upper Midwest.
